Dominik Ślęzak

President & Founder

Dominik co-founded QED Software in 1999 and since then he has continually guided development of the company’s main Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions.

In the meantime, he was also involved in other commercial initiatives. In 2005, he co-founded Infobright – international company at which he co-designed new Analytical Database Technology based on Rough Sets and Information Granulation. In 2017, he started serving as Chief Scientist at Security On-Demand – US-based company which extends Infobright’s approach in order to empower Cybersecurity Analytics with Approximate Querying. He has also served as a technological expert for several other firms including IINE, OvuFriend, and Toolbox for HR, Pro Duct BBF.

Dominik has always been active at the junction of industry and science. In 2014, he co-created KnowledgePit – scalable online platform for Data Mining Competitions. He acted as President of International Rough Set Society, one of Founding Editors of Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science, as well as Conference Chair and Plenary Speaker at 30+ international scientific congresses in Europe, Asia and both Americas. In his academic life, he holds the position of Full Professor at University of Warsaw.

He also worked for the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and several universities in Canada. He is a co-author of 200+ scientific publications and co-inventor in 10+ US patent applications.

Dominik enjoys mountain hiking, table soccer, and board games. He is married and has two children.
