What you’ll do

You will be an integral part of one of our R&D Teams that develop novel methods and solutions across a wide array of AI and Machine Learning fields. Our projects include aspects such as active learning, model diagnostics, explainable AI, auto-ML, big data, approximate reasoning and neuro-symbolic approaches. We work both on big in-house projects as well as cooperate with partners in specific implementations.

The R&D Teams work hand in hand with Engineering Teams to deliver commercial quality solutions as the final product. You will get a broad understanding of the products and work on their various aspects. As a mid you will have real impact on the direction of our research and development. Your suggestions and experience will be the driving power of a project.

What you need to know

You must be proficient – on at least mid/regular level in one or more of the following:
Active Learning
XAI
Machine Learning with non-tabular data; in areas such as computer vision or sound processing;
Deep understanding of ML models – theory, practice, common pitfalls
Ability to critically read scientific texts and apply methods that are described in scientific literature
Experience with developing custom programming libraries, designing APIs and/or pipelines
Advanced Python
3+ years of work experience in Machine Learning or Data Science
clean code;
Git.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience in multiple areas from the first bullet in the requirements;
Tools for automated tests;
Docker and Kubernetes;
Experience in R&D grants (e.g. delivering milestones for them).

What your tasks will be

data analysis;
programming in Python (e.g. libraries and tools);
reading scientific texts;
applying, testing and modification of state of the art machine learning algorithms as well as novel solutions;
code reviews;
participation in an Agile development process.
